Das LEONARDO Zentrum für Kreativität und Innovation lädt gemeinsam mit der AdBK Nürnberg ein zu einem Nachmittag mit Soundarbeiten, Filmbeiträgen und Diskussion.

What’s at stake in engaged interdisciplinary formats?

Was kann man als Forschende:r und Künstler:in aus dem Dialog zwischen Kunst und Anthropologie mitnehmen? LISTENING BACK TO LESBOS schaut auf einen Workshop mit Studierenden der Kunst und Anthropologie zurück der im Herbst 2022 auf Lesbos stattfand.

Im Rahmen der Veranstaltung wird unter anderem der Film NOTHING ABOUT US (32 Min.) gezeigt, der von Refocus Media Labs produziert und von Geflüchteten in Lesbos gedreht wurde.

ZUM FILM:

NOTHING ABOUT US WITHOUT US serves as a call to action for mainstream media to develop a new standard of engagement with the communities they report upon. The 32 minute film was written, directed and edited by Yaser Akbari and Nazanin Foroghi, two of the Refocus Media Labs Senior Citizen Journalists (and now fully employed teaching artists).

The documentary, filmed by the citizen journalists, chronicles the past two tumultuous years of struggle faced by asylum seekers and refugees before, during and after the fires that destroyed Moria camp.

Refocus Media Labs is dedicated to creating a global network of media labs to equip asylum seekers and recognized refugees with modern media creation skills. We provide a platform to showcase original work, share their stories, and pursue professional careers.
